William Alexander is a Nantucket Native and amateur Parapsychologist that has performed paranormal investigations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New Orleans, Louisiana, Tewksbury, MA and on Nantucket Island. He also did The Nantucket Haunted Hike from April 2003 to September 2006. Though there was one other tour in operation when he went into business, "The Nantucket Ghost Walk," William managed to put that tour out of business in less than a year with his entertaining theatrical personae and dramatic flair put forth in his storytelling. As a result, The Nantucket Haunted Hike became the most popular walking tour on Nantucket Island. William began his interest in the paranormal at the age of eight when he witnessed his first ghost. Since then he has been actively pursuing them and trying to find them in any place he can. This includes books, movies, television shows and personal observations. Over his lifetime, William has taken part in many a theatrical production, including "Amadeus," "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest," "The Miracle Worker," and "Of Mice And Men." He has also appeared in the films, "One Crazy Summer" and "Twelve Monkeys." His love for the theatre can be seen by just attending one of his performances with this tour and watching as he draws you in with his excitement and humor as well as true Nantucket history and remarkable tales of Nantucket folklore. Inspired in his storytelling by two men, Bill Schustik and Richard Cary, William does them both justice by following their lead and performing to the best of his ability. Will's work with the Nantucket Haunted Hike has gained him recognition with the New Orleans Ghost Tour in New Orleans, LA. where he worked over the winter season of 2003 to 2004 after they heard of his tour on Nantucket then offered him a job and flew him to The Big Easy for a wonderful winter of entertaining tales and frightening locations. He now performs permanantly with the Philadelphia Trolley Works and Big Bus Tour in Philadelphia, PA. His work and research on Nantucket has culminated in a book, "The Nantucket Haunted Hike Presents: Haunted Nantucket Island," twenty-two new stories of true Nantucket hauntings as told by the people that lived and experienced them.
